This IS a rip off. The original movie is called "Learn to be clocky" (no exclamation marks) by Mightydein and Psychoworm. You can find it easilly by typing in the title of the movie in the search engine. It's the first choice. This must be reported immediatly.

Well, I am totally embarrised.
When I saw this it looked so close to "If..." that I thought somone had stolen it. I immediatly pulled up the archive for front page items and found it. I then tried to compare the two I thought they were the same when I first went over it the intro beating heart is what I focused on. So I whistled it. Obiously, I was wrong to do so and I really should have noticed that you had made that piece. I'm glad it wasn't withdrawn. Though I wonder how this works. Does it only get taken away if a bunch of people blow the whistle? I hope this doesn't cost me my whistle points. I just got my bronze status. :( I guess no harm done as the submission is fine and in the portal.
Again, sorry and good work.

"Kill da wabbits, kill da wabbits, kill da wabbits!"
Down at Warner-Brother's studio, I am certain a tear of joy is rolling down the cheek of one Elmer Fudd. "So wovely," he might exclaim. "I never would have imagined so many wabbits being killed."
You'd have to forgive him, he's never been able to kill even one wa-, I mean, rabbit but while I might not weep with happiness while viewing, I can certainly realize that this is one fine movie -Juuso- has brought to Newgrounds. For those of you that are just getting acquainted with the finer points of Newground fight flashes 'Bunnykill 3 Vol. 1' is part 1 (due to file size limits, many of the higher end flash submissions are split into parts) of the 3rd movie in the highly popular 'Bunnykill' series (the style of which is based on the even MORE popular 'Madness' series). In the movies, Snowball, our ever ready to do battle protagonist, continually finds himself going up against huge armies of opposing bunnies in order to take out a boss character. These movies have absolutely nothing to do with each other so it doesn't matter if you have watched the previous installments or not but I'd recommend you try and get around to it, especially if you like this episode. It's similar though more high tech then the previous installments. It even includes lightsabers which, in my book, are always a welcome addition to any combat movie.
This time around, Snowball has infiltrated a moon base in order to take out a mad scientist that apparently wants to take over the world. When the moment seems right he charges into action. Without spoiling the plot (What little of it there is), there will be well over a hundred bodies before this flash finishes and that's only the first HALF. It ends in a cliffhanger but not before a murderously good time has been had by all that watch. I don't think there will be any blood and gore fans that will be left wanting. The graphics are well above par with a few VERY nice cutscenes and the style of the animation will not be mistaken for anything else on Newgrounds. The techno music is a nice acompienent to the slaughter and the sound effects are dead on. Oh and did I mention that there is a big, badass machine that resembles something out of "Robocop" that's just itching to do some major damage?
Bottom line, if you are a fan of mass slaughter that's up close and personal, <B>WATCH IT!!!</B>
I give this submission 5/5
PS Hey Juuso, why didn't Snowball use the lightsaber to break down the door at the end to escape? That would have been my move if it hadn't opened.
Author's Response:
WOW. first really long review. Thanks! This one saved my day.
oh and... sorry i didnt thought of that option in the end...
um lets just say that the door is made of some weird metal that even "lightblades" cant cut trough...

"Yes, this IS the best animation for May 2005!"
Well he's done it again. Granfaloon, the maker of such hits as 'The Real Legend Of Zelda' and 'Moonlight' has struck gold with another beautiful, well scripted animation. Starting from scratch, he seems to have laid the foundation for a new series that will rock the entire site. The animation quality, as always, is superb, and he's managed to find new voice actors and unfamiliar music to give this a style all on it's own. The story starts with a beautiful woman fighting for her life against a relentless opponent that looks appropriatly sinister. On her last ropes, she calls a magic power to her and...
Fast foreword, a cop (A Latino cop actually. Another brave choice that gives this series a unique look. There are just not to many Latin Americans staring in quality animations here), named Ken Tyler, is saddled with mysterious items from his deceased father. These undoubtedly will play an important role in the future. We find him just before a big change happens in his life. This will be the trigger event that send him on a search that will, if I know Granfaloon at all, lead to fantastic adventures that will captivate and enthrall.
What adventures are those? What is the connection with the magical woman and Ken? I suppose we'll just have to wait to find out. Valhalla Knights is long on questions with not an answer to be found. That would be for future episodes one would guess. Still it's frustrating and leads to my only complaint which is basically.... This is MUCH too short and looking at the file size, it would be hard to imagine him squeezing more in for a Newgrounds submission. I don't believe there is one that has been submitted that was past the 8,000 Kb size.
My personal take, shrink down the animation and lengthen the story. Anything you do will look wonderful anyway and trust me. As lovely as the visuals are (and they are among the best you can hope to see around here) your strongest attribute is the tale that is always behind it. No matter, for despite that, you MUST watch this, even if it only makes you crave more and you WILL crave more after seeing this. Trust me on that.
I give this submission 5/5 and it is my extreme pleasure to have been able to have given this vote upon it during judgment.
PS. Granfaloon, this is the last straw. After I post this review, I am going to go over every single flash you have submitted here. I hadn't paid too much attention to you before despite my enjoyment of the Zelda series. I also remember Moonlight but I just didn't pay attention to who made it at the time. Obviously, you keep cranking out fantastic work and I'd be a fool not to watch every single thing you've posted. No praise can be too high. Keep it coming. PLEASE keep it coming. My greatest fear... I mean you have at least two series now with Zelda and this. What if you get too ambitious and don't finish either one?<shudders>

Marklar-x has come and shown the people of Newgrounds that even when your a first timer you don't need to focus on the sticks and the fighting and warring that plague so many first time efforts.
A static scene, a few strategic sound effects and choice additions to the picture frame setting (a father raking, a flock of birds passing by), a light piano piece and a simple, simple concept is all he needs to relax and enrich the soul. I found myself transfixed to the screen, soaking it all in and never found myself impatient for it get on with it. Nor did I think it was too short or need more story to tell by the end.
Certainly there is room for improvement. The graphics can be much improved. A dynamic camera could certainly add to it (moving around the house, or moving in on close ups). There also could have been more things going on during the piece (a child playing in the leaves, a barbecue in the summer). I also noticed the lack of a replay button at the end of the piece and the preloader did not work properly as we cold not see how fast the loading was taking place (possibly because of the white background). Certainly every animation benefits from having both but this is all nitpicking really. It is a beautiful piece the way it is. It will not win any awards here but you don't need them to showcase what you got.
You sir have much potential, with all the violence that goes on, Newgrounds needs more animations like this one. I hope this will not be your only submission.
Good work!

This is in the top percentile of animation art here on Newgrounds. Are you a professional? The backgrounds are spectacular, the animation gorgeous, the sound fits wonderfully AND IT HAS A STORY TO IT? Heh! A slow story to be sure a viewer, more accustomed to action or physical humor, might find this dull and move on to something else.
But he would miss the point and truly be missing out, this isn't really about the story but creating a wonderful world to that gives rise to marvel and awe. There are so many moments that impress. From the introduction to the first moment when we first see how big the dog and realize the true size of our protagonist. I might go so far to say it is absolutly flawless for the kind of flash that it is.
I expect many good things from you Ola, keep this up. You enrich and raise the bar for Newgrounds with your beautiful works.
PS. Just a note, I noticed that you made a second submission today, Gooberstory. Your work is so good that I am saddened that you won't get as much notice as you could get by spreading it out a little. Something like this could win many awards here but there is only so much that can be given out at any one time. by submitting 2 in one day you miss out on being able to get 2 separate top daily awards, for instance.
Try spacing the amines out to once a month so that you chance a chance to win the daily, weekly and monthly prizes. All your works deserve maximum exposer.
Also, the Gooberstory menu is fantastic, the way you can select scenes in it... You should make that a part of every animation you create. The basic buttons work here well enough but you sir seem a man that likes putting in the extra effort and touches like that will always impress un NGers. Cheers!

I liked it, it's a good animation (should have had a play button though you know how to put it in). I enjoyed the robot voice you used for yourself too. Sounds kinda intellectual. The credits were unusally entertaining too. I definatly laughed...
but I don't quite understand. What do you mean by "StrangeClock reveals the secret behind the elusive #26 in the top reviewers list." ?
I can't find a top reviewers list. Top users, top blamers/saviors yes but nothing for reviewers. Also, I checked every movie you made and I can't find a single one that has this tiger_chick posting a review for it. What gave you the idea for it then? Did you make up that review in your flash? Seems a bit unfair to make up a review a user never even posted and saterize it.
Better background information would be nice in your author's comments. That said you have a interestingly warped sense if humor, keep them coming.
Author's Response:
I actually have no idea where the top reviewers list is or if it even exists, it's just what it says in T_C's profile. Maybe some BBS poster made a list.
I seem to remember T_C reviewing a movie of mine once but I can't find the review now and I can't imagine hers get deleted, I don't know. But I still read other people's reviews and find hers silly and ridiculous.

"It's strawberry clock and friends, yay!"
This is an awful, AWFUL animation and I wouldn't have it any other way from the King of the portal. I mean, Coolboy has a repuation to uphold here on Newgrounds. I shudder to imagine how the universe might implode if his majesty became a thoughtful, talented sort.
<shivers>
So instead of blamming this (as I really should) I'll give it a 2. the minimun nod of acceptace to pass judgement. Keep crapping them out, my king :P

I'll forgo the standered (nay required) and much deserved gushing for Void II in this review and focus on that new comment I see in the author's box.
"Void III will be released 8-15-05"
Can this be? Don't be yanking our chains, Blue. Only recently have I officialy joined the community but I was around way back when this flash was first released and I have waited, like the rest of the faithful, for oh so very long now.
Frankly, I'd given up. The conclusion to this trilogy was a distant pipe dream, never to be realized (much like hover cars in our lifeimes, dang it!). Don't tell us this unless you are really serious here. You ARE serious arn't you? This is a definative date, right? No getting sidetracked? Don't give me hope only to crush it.
God, I'm excited and it's still 4 months away from becoming reality. The hype and expectations to this will be absolutly huge, but I'm sure your up to the task of meeting and exceeding them.
Just remember that you can post larger files then 5 megs if you ask special permition so don't scrimp (like on subtitles) if you don' t have to. ;)
THANK YOU BLUE CLOCK FOR FINALLY DECIDING TO CONCENTRATE ON VOID THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It means so much to the community that you are doing this. I wish you every success on the project and I hope in 5 months time we will be seeing Void III (not "The Void III" as that title was maliciously stolen by a crap flash a few months back) as the number 1 movie of the month
YAY, GO BLUE CLOCK!!!

It is true... All will be revealed Clock-Day 2005...

You did a good job. This is an interesting game and very well done. Instead of focusing on the meny things you got right however (which I am sure others will gush over) I will mention what could use a few small improvements though to aid the fun factor a bit.
First of all, when I first saw it in judgement. It looked like a mouse click game. So, I clicked everything in the menu screen but the game would not start. I thought it to be some joke so I blammed it. Then after I saw the reviews I realized that I had to do something else. a start button would be a good idea instead of having people to figure out that you have to press enter.
Also, in the second training mission you tell us to hit the 2 button to activate the boster when you need to hit the z button. A careless mistake that causes a bit of fustration.
The music is rather loud too. It got annoying and since you cannot save by the time it get's annoying you might just decide to bear with it as you will lose everything you gained by quitting and going to options to turn it off. An ingame button to toggle would help.
And WHY are the training missions an integral part of the flash? If you want replay value they will, in particular, get old and boring to people playing. Perhaps you'd want to look at making a way to skip them altogether so people that know how to play can get on with the actual game.
Again, very nice work. I hope to see many more flashes come from you. :)
Author's Response:
Thanks for playing. I'm glad you liked it overall.
I'm guessing that you didnt find the yellow 'Start Mission' button clear enough? I'm a bit shocked that you blammed it cos you didnt look long enough to see the start button.
It definately says 'z' in the instructions. I even changed the font to arial to make it clear. I'm sorry that you didnt find it clear enough.
I had to take the save game feature out to put it on NG because NG wont have the server side code that i wrote to do this. Go to my site and play the game at its original location, then you can save after the training missions, and save whenever you want to switch off the music. However, it may be helpful to put in a toggle music shortcut key, and I might do this
